Test drive one - I went to visit a remote logging job, and had to walk the bike in reverse down a hill a 100 feet or so. With the pegs folded up, they brush lightly against my legs. If or when I make another set, putting them a little more inboard with a longer peg would probably be good.
Leaving the pegs down and walking backwards probably wouldn't have been good, but that was fairly apparent without trying.
