Both Ron (fishercat) and myself have switches (from Ace hardware) on our "dash" and they have little rubber boots (also a Ace item) they work just fine...I might think you could relocate the Lightbar switch from the side of the shell to the dash also...I think it's small enough...we used the left hand "knock out" on the dash...had to increase the hole size slightly...but its plastic and moves real easy
