I worry for my wife alot. She is a very cautious driver and drives a little slower than most. She doesn't do this to tick anyone off, she just doesn't feel comfortable driving fast.
My dad is one of those too. His is more of an old school "The speed limit is for ideal conditions!" kind of fixation, but to each his own. My only "flip-side" to that is if you are going way slower than the flow of traffic, you are officially an obstacle. Right or wrong, should or shouldn't doesn't matter. It is the truth. I don't know your wife, but in my dad's case, he goes well below the speed limit on an interstate a LOT (anyone ever go 50 on I684 south of Brewster? Scary...). I am fine with not speeding, but if you are too scared to at least go close to the speed limit, you should get on the hiway... My MSF instructor said "If you're not ready to get up and run with the big boys in the left lane, stay off the hiway.
That being said, there is no need for the finger, or reckless driving or whatever, just go around and move on.
