The cell phone hands free law in CT is a joke I have seen many STATE POLICE OFFICERS TALKING AWAY ON THEIR CELL PHONES. Just today while driving for work a woman merging on to the Merritt Pkwy talking away not looking as she merged. Did not see or even look at me. And the state rep who initiated the cell phone bill says "its working well." Speaking of traffic laws several times while riding TBA I have attempted to keep up with speed of traffic once I get up to 80 + mph I just give up. Speed is good but I don’t want a $200 ++ ticket. Also I believe in CT driving over 80 is considered reckless driving and is a criminal not traffic offence. I select my speeding points very well, one must know where the police set up radar. Rt 8 N, north of Thomaston, good place to burn up the hill, but be ware after the crest of the hill 7 times out of 10 Statie will be waiting. Rt 8 N near exit for 118 nice place to run up the speed but be ware also Staties like to sit just past the over pass next to on ramp if not careful they GOT U. Plus one thing new several police dept park empty cursers in select places. In New Haven on the Boulevard just north of Libbys cycles. RIDE SAFE!!
