This one was entered in the Smokeout bike show. Dig those velocity stacks! It looked to me like they used the stock frame, but added on a "softail" lengthened swingarm. I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner.

I dig that a lot. It could do with less rear fender (it appears to be a Harley front fender turned around).

That is cool. Wouldn't want to burn my legs on those pipes though.

Love the paint! Very cool overall. The hardest part of the stock frame to hide is where the center stand wants to be... With no pipes covering it, it stands out.

See THAT tank is sitting at a nice angle. Now that someone mentioned the harly front fender turned around in back, I can't get past it either...

I couldn't figure out the top connection on the swingarm struts. From the first two photos it looks like they are bolted only to the back of the engine at some very thin looking tabs. But at the 3rd picture it looks like they may also be bolted through the frame below the seat. Very cool looking bike.

There definately looks to be a spring or something under the seat. Under the trumpets out the back of the carbs.

VERY cool! The way the rear wheel and seat are suspended, makes me think of one of my favorite low-volume custom bikes out there....the Confederate.
And the front H-D fender used for the rear, is another idea this guy executed to perfection.
VERY cool!
Cheers, Dwight (but those cables strapped to the handlebars should'a gone inside 'em somehow, I think)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

No offense, and whoever built that has way more talent than I will ever. But I hate that thing. It reminds me of a VW Bug for some reason.

I wasn't gonna say anyting but since its out already. that is one Fugly looking Triumph with those nasty ape hangers that look so out of place. Our stock bikes right off the factory floor are much more appealing to the eye.
But I will allow. To each his or her own.

I have to agree. My eyes keep drifting back to the rear-front fender. The velocity stacks look like an attempt to cover the large opening in the middle, that doesn't quite work. The straight exhaust looks out of place and on some bikes full-apes look alright, but not on this one. With that said, I wish I had the creativity and cajones to attempt something similar.
The finish on the Finnish bike is absolutely beautiful.
Regards,
Tom

I am confused...you say it is a sick bike and yet you also say it has no ugliness... Is that like saying something is bad when you actually mean it is good?
