I saw them at Jones Beach Good times.

Just checked iTunes, the album "Frea n Roll.... in the Fog (live)" has that version of Remedy on it.

I've seen a few shows advertised at Jones Beach. How far is that venue from NYC (by train)?

I have a few Grover Washington Jr tunes!! "On The Cusp" comes to mind. He uses a sick Bari player sometimes

SSJones, Jones beach.... not sure if it is reachable by train actually, because it is not on the mainland so to speak, it is out on the barrier island (Fire island?). But it's probably less than an hour from the city.

There is a listing for a live dvd from the black and blue tour on amazon. Funny thing is when I found it it said "will not be available until 2010" so for now they will be taking pre-orders only. Don't know what that is all about as I can't see them taking 4 years worth of pre-orders. Anyway I look forward to it's release.

Lucinda Williams dad was my teacher and thesis director at Univ. of Ark/Fayetteville... Miller Williams, Clinton's second ignagural poet.

If you're read his poetry, you kind of know where she got her talent...

That song is why I got the album. I heard it while I was stuck in traffic on the Cross Bronx Expy on the way to NJ. Always good to hear something about Beantown when stuck in the Big Apple

I wouldn't call myself a fan but I saw him perform with the "New Barbarians" at Madison Square Garden waaaay back in 1979. It was a one-tour-only deal with Keith Richards, Ron Wood, Stanley Clarke, Ian McLaughlin,& Ziggy.

Saw them perform a few times, and reloy enjoyed them--But then again who wouldn't enjoy chicks in Victorian underwear playing punk/metal cello! My fiancee's nuts about them, but I'm definitely more of a casual fan. Did you ever hear their EP of cover tunes called Lost and Found? It's my favorite of theirs.

Paula, I just got his CD/DVD of the Comedy Central bit he did. Pretty good.

Martin, I also hear his new Hobo special is good, alas I don't get it. hopefully my new place come december will have it.

By the way, if you dig his humor, I reccomend the movie "Waiting" with him as a bit part, but good potty humor all around. I have the 2 disc DVD set, we could do a viewing next season

Mary, I LOVE that version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow!! It is high up on our list for wedding songs.... I heard he passed away recently...
