I got a great price on a set of long slash-cut TOR's for my SM...couldn't decided what other pipes to try, so I'll check these out then "upgrade" later if they don't fit the bill (nice tone, not obnoxiously loud).

Do I need to get the carbs re-jetted after I install these pipes?

Not unless you just want to. I ran mine for about two years with stock jets.. no problems

Hi Roland,
The TORs are good exhausts pipes. I used the stock jets for awhile with my Short TORs, and ended up with 126s over the stock 120s and it ran great. Be sure to check your mix screws - my right screw was bottomed out from the factory and the left one was 1.5 turns out. I'd suggest 2.5 turns out on both carbs to start with - if you get popping on decel, crank your screw out a half turn and try again.

I run the short Triumph pipes and have since the bike was new. I initially rejetted from the factory set up. Factory jets are too lean. I've since used the Freak to remove the airbox and rejetted with the help of a dynamometer. 64HP and 49ftlbs of torque. I was running 128s/45s and a single shim on the needles before removing the airbox.
