#5 is Jackson Browne (You've got your rap and your disco, you've got your drum machines and magazines, you got truckers on cb, you got Richard Pryor on the video and you got time to think of the ones you love as the miles roll away....) damned if I can remember the title though
Actually the line(s) from "Stay" goes ..... We've got country and western on the bus R&B, We've got disco on 8 tracks and cassettes in stereo We've got rural scenes and magazines We've got truckers on cb And we've got Richard Pryor on the video We've got time to think of the ones we love as the miles roll away And the only time that seems too short Is the time we get to play.
Funny thing, I remembered that today while helicoiling a Cummins head Was hummming away when it came to me. Oh well, seventies again

JB's recrding/version of STAY.
It's Actually called "The Load-out and Stay" this particular section of lyric is from "The Load-out" section of that track..."Stay" doesn't begin until after...."but we'll be schedualed to appear 1000 miles away from here...so people...."
You're all wrong! Well all the corrections were right for THAT song, but that's not it. It is "Still Diggin on James Brown" by Tower of Power
See my reply to chy

I'll bet fully 3/4 of the public who "know" that song have no idea that there are lyrics...let alone what they are!
If you watched the movie you would. And you'd also know that "Painless" was the nickname for the dentist at the 4077 M.A.S.H. (Who had decided to commit suicide).

Ok since only one of my last list was guessed, I added a little, plus another to keep it at five (don't know why, it just seems to work).
1)sit on the porch without no shoes, pickin' his bass and singin' the blues
2)I like your blue cougar, and your bona fide keys
3)twenty men had tried to take him, twenty men had made one slip
4)but if you used to want to see a commotion, you shoulda seen the man that I used to be.
5a) My birthplace would be hard to find, it's changed so many times.

How 'bout this? "I've been Paying for my low life thrills, with wet quarters and soggy one dollar bills". (sound familiar, BA members?) Think about the Miller High Life Bouncing Ball on this one.

I didn't think so. I've been trying to put that line in a decent song for years. It's from the "Loudon Wainright" album from the 70s, that included "Dead Skunk In The Middle Of The Road". If you remember that one, you're probably an old dope smoker.

A Growing Boy Needs His Lunch.
One one the Kennedy's best efforts IMO. Ranks right up there with "Holiday In Cambodia" in my world. Have you heard Biafra's newest efforts with "Lard"? Forkboy is my favorite...
