Hi, have got CRS carbs on my Speedmaster, and finally hammered out to decent tune. I'll bet money that they're over-jetted from wherever you got them, when I added the Freak K&N Air Filters, the things were still running rich. Tuned, the things are awesome, they can really wake that engine up. The only minor headache with them is the lack of an accelerator circuit, which means that at lower RPM's the carbs don't do well at all with a sudden large throttle transition; now if you roll into the throttle, then they do great. Getting rid of the AI will definitely help your exhaust. There's some kind of polish that will help ameliorate your blue-ing. Good luck on your mods!!!
