I bought a '02 Triumph. I did not like the put put sound. I took (busted) all of the inside of the mufflers out. Well after that I found out that my pilot jet was pluged tighter than .. Well lets just say it was pluged very bad. It took me 3 cleaning tips and 4 sewing needles to get it unpluged. Well after that it backfired like hell! I read around (on this forum and found that I could adjust the idle mixture screw. Well in the US they have the "Saftey pluges". I think this is to keep us Rednecks from blowing ourselfs and our bikes up. I was trying to remove the "plug" and I bussed the houseing for the screw and the screw itself. So here I am in Evanston WY. Where we only have summer weather for 3 weeks! and I have been working on it for 2 now. My baby is broke! I wanted to put carbs on it and I ordered the CR-II carbs. I have not installed them yet but I was wondering if anyone has put these on a '02 TBA. How does it run? Also I would like to remove the AI. Will this stop my "Blue" pipes? Where can I get something to remove the "Blue" and if I do get it removed will it stay gone? Also I have removed the airbox but dont have the money to get the FREAK. Is there anything I can do besides cut the airbox?
