i am particularly fond of 1, 9 and 5. the rest i'll leave alone for now. trying to think nice thoughts about work--which ultimately provides the opportunity for 1, 9, and 5.

Way to go Shari (our encourager).
Always positive, even on negative thoughts.
Isn't that like making lemonade out of life's lemons?
Half of our plant is closing in two years after 52 years of operation. I'll still have a job, but it will be a horrible place to work while they dismantle the south end of the plant. But, this is the only job I've ever had that I've still got .
Wish I could've made it to the rally.

I guess I need to get you hip to the all knowing Roadkill Fairy. See, the Roadkill Fairy is the rebel-child of the Tooth Fairy, and is responsible for all dead, rotting animals along the road. If you ever see roadkill along your travels, you can rest assured that you will have a safe arrival at your destination since your journey had been blessed by the Roadkill Fairy.

Matt, I can tell you one about a baggy with water hanging on a door header that keeps flies away (or was it the sign that said no cussing?) Skyline diner, circa a lifetime ago in a land forgotten.

Does the quantity of roadkill also have a bearing?

That's good going, they're such difficult things to hit.
Just when you think you have one, the little buggers are off!
Running and dodging across the bloody road, they're liable to have you off the bike while you're trying to get 'em!

I think we should find a site and have a 365 days a year rally.

Not someone's house, just a place where we can have 'drop-in' arrangement and guys come and go when it suits!

Site it somewhere with good weather and even better riding.
Far enough away from folks to not be a pain, but close enough for beer runs!

I offer my services as caretaker!

Hey, we could franchise it!!!!

So that means that the coyote that I had to run over for probably the 100th time on I-40 (someone else did the first 99) yesterday was good luck!??
Even tho I then had to smell it for the next 10 miles or so until the yuck had burned off the underside?
I know you're supposed to avoid those things, but it came out from under the truck in front of me too quick to avoid - just bumped right over the biggest part - eeewwwwww!

Becky

PS I will post a trip report when I get the chance and 15 minutes free this afternoon.

Maybe that's who stole my beloved manvest...

My car was broken into last night and yup...the manvest is no longer in my possession. I'll have to check the neighborhood for unusual roadkill patterns.

I'll have to find someplace different now. That diner wasn't toooo bad but it could have been a bit cheerier. I think we were near the point (geographically) where you start to lose that 'Southern charm' and people aren't as friendly right off the bat. That's certainly one of the first things I noticed when I moved down from Northern VA a few years ago.

I have to give credit where credit is due. I think Yota said that before the the OH rally and I'm merely echoing it because I think it's a good idea. If I didn't have to worry about a mortgage I'd be plotting out a route right now.
