As the price of oil in the world is dropping, the price of gasoline in my little burb (close to Kansas City) is now below $2.00...this morning regular (89 octane) was $1.95 at a Phillips station! I'll never be smart enough to even think about the economics of oil, but made me wonder what the price of gasoline is in other areas...if no one responds, I'll assume the subject should have been re-worded!!

Well, here are the lowest prices in the Cincinnati, OH US area.
CIncyGasPrices . Check out the "Gas Price Temperature Map"...pretty neat.
Lowest price today is 1.91 USD / gallon and highest 2.37. However, I think the downward trend is stalled for a bit.

Torrington CT lowest $2.41 per/gal great variation in prices in CT some still as high as $2.65. I'm just glad 89 oct is just $0.10 higher in price. When 89 was getting up to $ 3.70 it was not good. However, I pre-bought 350 gallons home heating oil $2.79 per gal. I think it’s about $1.99 now. 0h just wait till after November 8th.

$2.39 for 89 octane, but Arizona generally has higher gas prices than most of the country since there isn't a refinery for hundreds of miles. Not as high as California or NY, but then our gas tax isn't as high as those states.

Typo on my original post...$1.95 for 87 octane, not 89 which is a nickel or so higher. Filled again this morning at $1.95. Maybe those Hummers will start selling again!

Cheapest I saw on the way to work was $2.05 for regular unleaded. Norm around here is $2.09. I'm not going to fill up my car until it gets to $1.99. Just my luck it will shoot back to $2.99

Here in east TN it has been under $2.00 (low grade) for about a week now. And now the High Grade stuff is looking like it also might slip under $2.00.

Right now in Brisbane, Australia it's varying between AU$1.07 - AU$1.15 per litre. That works out to US$3.03 - 3.25/US gallon. That's for regular gas, not the premium stuff our bikes take - premium's about AU$0.08 more per litre.
Mind you, two weeks ago we were up as high as AU$1.50/litre (US$4.25/US gallon) in places, so we're doing well atm.

Yesterday I saw $2.17 here. I'm in NW Florida and our county is not as cheap as some surronding areas.

$2.49 tonite in Palm Bay for high test. $2.39 for midgrade. I still use the hi test although I hear most others are on midgrade with no problems. I wonder, if I switch, will I notice? Will my baby feel neglected after a year of high priced champagne if I bring home cold duck?

Better than it was, but still a bit high in CT
http://autos.msn.com/everyday/GasStations.aspx?m=1&l=1&zip=06790&x=0&y=0
We have two state motor fuel taxes; one a flat rate, and the other based upon a percentage, plus the federal fuel tax. Our poseur CT attorney general rants about price gouging, when in fact it's the state of CT engaging in price gouging for whenever the price of the fuel increases, so does the amount of tax levied via the % based gross receipts tax on motor fuels.
(Did I mention we have the highest taxes in the country, AND a one billion dollar surplus?)

When I left South Carolina last week, it was at $1.97 for 87 Octane (Regular), and about $2.06 for Midgrade(89), it's about $2.45 (87-Reg) and $2.55 (89-Reg) here in the Danbury area of CT...
