As time gets closer and the weather report is more reliable, maybe we can come up with an alternate meeting point if we need to avoid the altitude.

This weekend is peak leaf peep at Greylock, with weather of clear and high 50s.

I'd be happy to host a 10 am coffee / pit stop meeting point at our house on route 7 in the NW corner of CT, 2 miles from the MA border, and 1.5 hours south of Greylock. Kick stands up at 10:30. Saturday 10/7 would hopefully allow Mark's Sunday work schedule? From here we can go up over Canaan Mountain and via route 8 north. It's all back country scenic roads to Greylock from here. (A mile or two of the mountain road is gravel, but they take good care of it.)

No reason why we couldn't go again at the end of October too. Only so many warm weekends left...

I'm going anyway with a few local riders, so if anyone is interested, PM me for directions to the house.

Late oct? The color was just starting to get vivid this weekend as I drove thru CT on 84. I would think my late Oct it would be past peak.

Right you are. The leaves will be off the trees in late October at Greylock.

My apologies if my post above is perceived as a hijack. It'e not my intention to change the date of the 10/29 run.

Since we're going this Saturday to Greylock anyway to catch the foliage peak, I thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to join us. Disclaimer - Not that anyone is likely too concerned, but there will be other assorted non-Triumph brands along, including one CT State Police officer and his wife on Harleys. Not to worry - He's cool.
