Anyone running the Mikunis with the big bore?

Thoughts on performance with this setup?

I should have mine done in the next week or so - other obligations allowing (work, home - just got married and returned from the honeymoon).

I'll let you know what results I get. If I don't get it done by June 8th though, it won't get done until July as a trial will pull me out of town for the remainder of June.

So the Big Bore with Mikuni's was installed early July. The things runs GREAT!! Put the 500 miles on the break-in, then changed the oil and did 1,100 miles the weekend of July 15th all through upstate NY. Great way to test out the kit and reliability, being running it all day for 4 days, and being ridiculously far from home. The bike ran great - it's got so much more power, and runs a ton better than with the mikuni's and a non-bored engine. I'll try to get to a dyno - may take a few weeks. I'm moving this upcoming weekend...

Dude, I'm thinking of doing a similar mod (I assume the big bore is a 904). Also thinking of installing a cam (or not)...where did you get your parts?

Rich, read that cam thread, New member- best hi perf mods- cam? in this Perf. Mods section, before you jump into the deep end on a cam change. There's lots of good info in there.

I picked up my BB kit from NewSpeedmaster.com
