We are Triumph riders. Lower your shields and surrender your Hardleys. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile.

I looked at that number and knew it was familiar. Scratched my head for several minutes, and sat there saying to myself "I know this!". I had to google it tho. I guess I am just a semi-geek for recognizing it but not knowing it by heart.

Isn't it Wedge Antillies (SP?) He was the only spud guy I can think of who made it through (and blew up the death star in Jedi)

Ya know....I was just wondering if "certain" astronauts trained at NASA, who would normally seem to "have it together" using their skills in LOGIC and reasoning to solve problems(including the domestic kind)...well...if every 7 years their MATING IMPULSE overrides everything and they JUST HAVE to make it to MIAMI in order to MATE.(using whatever means available to them)
I guess that DEPENDS on how much green Vulcun blood they have coursing through their veins, huh?!
Cheers, Dwight ("D*mn it, Jim! I'm a Triumph rider, NOT a comedian!!!")

I think Dwight the poor girl you refer to could have used a steady dollop of Vulcan logic to override her less than eloquent burst of Human emotion that most recently has obviously caused her some pain and a resultant loss of flight priviledge no doubt.

Ah but Kevin, least you forget the episode where Mr.Spock kind'a "lost it" after that vamp of a Vulcan temptress put the moves on the stalwart Captain Kirk, and they had to duke it out to see which one of 'em would get a chance at that HOT VULCAN BABE!
(I'm sure Leonard Nimoy really enjoyed the chance to "stretch his acting chops" in THAT episode....I mean how many times can one actor say..."That's illogical, Captain",???!!!)
Cheers, Dwight (I'm SUCH a GEEK!)

The idea for tribbles was lifted by David Gerrold from a 1952 Robert Heinlein novel (martian flat cats), who borrowed the idea from a 1905 story (Pigs is Pigs) by Ellis Parker Butler. Any idea worth stealing is worth stealing over and over.

Nice!! I never would have guessed. Remember that kinda fat guy in the first death star dog fight? His name was Porkins. Come on.... Porkins!! Too funny.
Let us not forget a great almost cameo from Cliff Claven in the Empire Strikes Back!

I believe there was a generic X-Wing pilot (in)action figure in '77 that could have been Wedge, but I doubt it was labeled as such. I kept all my old (in)action figures from my childhood but only three of them are still in their packages, in good shape. I should probably start putting all that crap on ebay.

I'm not even sure where they are. I assume they're in my garage somewhere. I'm secretly hoping that my Empire Strikes Back edition Darth Vader new-in-box will seriously enhance my retirement fund.

My Lego collection could probably fetch some serious dough too, too bad half of them are out on a huge table in my parent's basement collecting dust. a LOT of dust.

In the basement, huh?! So THAT'S where YOUR parents' "Benny Shrine" is located, huh? I ask this 'cuz RIGHT AFTER I moved out many many years ago, MY "shrine", along with all the model cars I glued together in my youth(NO! I didn't get this way because of any glue-sniffing, BTW!!!) was conveniently boxed up (along with all the Christmas presents Aunt Gertie sent us from Indiana(that old broad had TERRIBLE taste in gifts, ya know) and stored in the ATTIC! Cheers, Dwight (I'm tellin' ya...one day it's MY bedroom...the NEXT, it's my Pop's new television room!!!)

OH yes well this is different. My shrine of a bedroom was slowly taken over by my sister's teddy bears in college, then unceremoniously taken over my senior year.
