They used to be an Indian dealer, and picked up Triumph when Indian went under. They are hoping to get Indian back!

I would think that Triumph and Indian would be a good mix for a dealer. Both bikes have heritage older than HDs. The Indian would have the V-Twin cruisers and the Triumph has sport bikes as well as classics to cruisers. Both have great names from 1901 and 1902.

IT would be a nice mix. They always had a few indians around even tho they were not producing them. They also sell BMC, Big Dog and maybe one or two other choppers...

When I was in Rapid City, SD, in 2002, they had a Triumph/Indian dealership. The Triumph line actually had a fighting chance.

Holy hell. Just because they listed their email address doesn't mean everybody should chime in and annoy these guys. If you want instant gratification, don't place an online order...go to a retail outlet. If it says it'll be a 2 week wait...guess what...it'll be a 2 week wait. If they don't charge your card yet...you should be thrilled. Why would you want them to take your money without having the capacity to send you your order?
The more everyone's panties get in a bunch and everyone decides to "take the matter into their own hands" the better chance we all have of NEVER seeing this kind of sale happen again. From what I've seen, they're a reputable dealer and they're handling everything as they should. Let them be. The more time they spend responding to impatient emails means the longer it'll take for you to receive your order.
Plus...you don't think they're going to make a note of everybody complaining? Ask anybody in retail...they'll take care of the pleasant customers first and save the complainers till VERY last.

The last time I did an online order for a Triumph part, it took 2 weeks to find out the part was no long available. These parts are not typically in stock at the dealer. I think most gather up orders over a period of time (2 weeks ??) and do a bulk order from the distributor. That's when they either get the part, find out it's back ordered, or no longer available. Anyway seem's like an antiquated system in this day and age but I guess that's part of the tradition.

for those of you that think some of us have taken looking into our orders too far...... If this company had a way to let us (the customer) look up the status at their web site much of this would not have happened. You can not lookup anything other than you placed an order. They did not send an email to those that ordered stating anything was back ordered, when it might be in or any thing else. They brought this upon themselfs by lack of communication. I have been "had" by companies before, and always check my order status. This is ESPECIALLY true when they so quickly take my MONEY and send no shipping information. Thye should not even have taken the money until it was shipped (IMHO)

My account was charged Feb 5th  and I had to get "mean" in an email to get any information out of them  I am not a happy camper with their customer relations OR them charging my account LONG before shipping the items. Great deal yes, will I do business with them again, NO

I have not seen anything yet but they did say it would take two weeks to process the orders.I am sure there is alot going on behind the scenes at this dealeship and we slammed them.The good news is we are half way there..I remember way back when I ordered sceptre pipes they took like 6 weeks to get.Well I can wait cause I am not going anywhere any time soon..but its something to look forward to for the upcoming season..

It's only been 5 working days. I agree they shouldn't have charged your card before they shipped but they probably do that to make sure your card is valid. Give them a chance and lets see what happens. I'll wait a few weeks to save 50%.

I think that credit card companies stipulate that a vendor is not to charge an account until the day the goods ship.

I think that you can call your credit card company and the vendor and request your card not be billed until shipment is made. If there is any doubt when ordering, ask about this. Always ask if the parts or goods are in stock, and if not request your card not be billed until shipment is made. The vendor must honor this request or get in trouble with the credit card company.

I ordered the flame painted tank from my dealer. Paid for it, as per their policy. Heard this morning - 10 days after I ordered it - I won't be getting it till APRIL!!!!! So nearly £500 and nothing to show for it yet.
OK I'm ranting at the dealer cos they didn't tell me that at the time, or that I could be getting the interest for that from my own account.
So just wait. They'll be in touch eventually. If in 2 months time they're not, get in touch with your card company then. And only then. If the amount of feedback from here is a pointer as to how many orders they've had (bearing in mind that they'll have had orders from local people and they've have orders from rat.net members too) then they will be snowed under.

Cool it, you guys. As I mentioned in an earlier message, I've bought from Ramp several times recently, and I have the utmost respect for them. They are a small operation, so they can keep prices low. In fact, I bought some jeans from them for less than my dealer claims is his wholesale price!
I'm willing to bet they were absolutely overwhelmed by the response to their 50% sale. Give them a break, because we need small, trustworthy companies like that to deal with and work with us.

Why would you call them trustworthy when they don't even e-mail you with an ETA for the part? If I did that to a customer of mine, they would be buying from a new vendor for sure. Even when I e-mail them they just come back with a generic response. Never again for me.

jeeezch. i noticed my account wasn't charged for 2 clothing items. this told me they ran out and were looking closely at my order. i guess i'm too calm. i had to wait 6 months for a raised white letter tire from a local dealer for another bike because of a strike. now that was waiting... and i had the wheel off the bike. cat

Apparently Brent has spoiled everyone and killed their patience. I just had a great experience with Steel Thunder Custom Cycles ( http://www.steelthundercc.com ), though they don't sell much that's applicable to our bikes. Too bad because their customer service is pretty darned good so far. I figure the Triumph stuff will get here when it gets here.
