That's sort of a tradition over at Adventure Rider, whose members often wear Aerostich suits. It's almost like a badge of honor over there to have pushed your bike to it's limits and beyond with a minor drop worthy of a Kodak moment. Riding partners are encouraged to whip out the camera during such moments. Often the shot is taken with the "victim" giving the one finger salute. Yeah, those people that ride in the dirt are sick.

Even though I'll probably never ride any gnarly single track on a dirt bike, I find the ride reports over there enjoyable to read as people travel throughout the world on motorcycles. Take for instance this pic in Mexico:



I'd kill myself on something like that.
