Yeah, we've got to beat the bloody sharks off with a stick just to take a quick dip round here. What's worse is the other day someone took a video of a 4 metre (that's about 16' for the yanks) crocodile swimming up the river in downtown Rockhampton. If the white pointers don't get ya, the crocs will. Then there's the sea snakes, stonefish, lion fish, and of course the deadly stingrays.

And don't go thinking you're safe on dry land either, we've got something like 6 out of the 10 most deadly snakes and most of the world's most deadly spiders here. They say that in Aust you're never more than 3 feet from the closest spider. I had one about the size of my hand in my kitchen sink only last night. (Thirsty maybe? Just glad it didn't find my beer!)

I read somewhere that there are more creatures in Australia in every square mile that can kill you then any where else on the planet.
