the hype for this game is gonna revolve big time around the QB's.
Grossman the youngster with no big game experience who was criticized during the season versus the established superstar Manning at Indianapolis.
The Colts running game has come alive in the playoffs..will they be effective against the Bears? Can the Bears stop Manning?
Will Grossman rise to the occasion and have a great game?
At this point if I were taking odds I'd give those odds to the Colts I think.
let the Hype and hyperbole begin.

One note: Home field advantage is STILL KING.(along with the requisite officiating that ensues)
Was I the ONLY one who saw near the end of the game, a Cornerback get flagged in the end zone for NOT touching the intended Receiver and getting hit in the back with a Manning pass, with the result of having the ball placed at the One Yard Line and another series of downs for the Colts, and THEN a little while later watching those very same officials look the other way(must'a been one hot lookin' cheerleader there, huh?!) when the opposite team's Cornerback almost pulls the jersey off the intended Receiver in the end zone a full two seconds before a Brady pass arrives to him, resulting in a field goal instead.
(gee...can't seem to find anything in the papers today about it today....just askin', 'cuz I didn't really care who won, but once again it seems that OFFICIATING kind'a decides these sorts o' things, WOULDN'T YA SAY?!)
It kind'a reminds me of a certain "incomplete pass" of Mr.Brady's in the snows of NEW ENGLAND against that THANKFULLY screwed up team, the Raiders(oh how I dislike them, but they DID get shafted TOO) in an AFC Championship Game a few years back....DON'T IT???

I thought I was only one to notice that Dwight thank you. Or how about the 15 yard roughing the passer that they never showed? Instead we had to watch the longest IBM commercial known to mankind.

Hey Mikey!!! DON'T "assault" us with this talk of "battery" YET!!
There'll be PLENTY of time for baseball talk AFTER the OFFICIATING awards either the Bears OR the Colts their trophy in the coming Superbowl!!!
(that is unless Arsenalfan(Mark) gets on his "high horse" about that "exciting" game of soccer around here again)

And well he should be on his high horse after that splendid match against Manchester United yesterday. Definitely the match of the season in the Premiership after the Gunners(Arsenal) came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 with goals in the last 10 minutes, and the last goal coming just a minute before the final whistle. I've already watched the game twice, once live and again this morning when my internet cable was on the fritz.

Actually my interest in the game started back in the 1970s when Soccer Made in Germany was a weekly fixture on the TV. Used to watch the show with my oldest brother, and Bayern Munich is still my favorite team to this day. Unfortunately their matches aren't on FSC, so the best I can do is an occasional Champions League match. I watch the England's Premiership nearly every weekend, because that's what's on and it does have the best talent in the world. I also challenge anyone to match the enthusiasm that the fans show for their team in that league. To me their's nothing better than a full stadium in song like you find in the Premiership.
I did get a chance to go to an Eintracht Frankfurt match when I was stationed at Rhein-Main, right around the same time I blew out my knee on a Mountain Bike.
But as Mikey said, it is only 3 weeks until pitchers and catchers report here in Tucson. Might have to go down to the practice fields and see how the Diamondbacks are shaping up. If a few of the youngsters can play a bit over their heads, the Diamondbacks could contend for the division title. But realistically they're still a year or two away from their peak.

Hey! Ya got the "Big Unit" back, anyway. That old dude can still sling the ball mighty fast, ya know. He still makes a lot of left-hand batters especially, a bit hesitant to step into his pitches.

We'll see if he still has it after another back surgery. Hopefully he can get to 300 wins sometime in 2008, which I think is a big reason the DBacks got him back. Saw him quite a few times in his glory days with Arizona, and was at the infamous spring training game when the bird came in front of the plate and exploded in a cloud of feathers.

Dwight,
I have to take the beating and abuse as I called itI was half right, the only reason I'm not complaining about those two calls is we have had a few breaks go our way over the past few years, but the pass interfernce in the end zone now that was indefensible.
