Finally saw the range of 2007s at the show in Baltimore yesterday.
On a Mulberry Speedy, the side cover with the Speedmaster script didn't match the tank/fender color. It was black with a redish tint and some sparkly glittery stuff in it. On the blue and white America, the side cover was black with a bluish tint and the same sparkly stuff. On the Triumph site, the pics show side covers that color match the tanks on these bikes.
The Canton Cycle rep said she'd noticed the difference with the blue and red having sparkle but couldn't remember if the black sparkled.
I forgot to ask her if they actually have sidecovers that match the tanks or if these are just special order...
So, which are they, or are both an option?
And, if you see one, does the 2007 black Speedmaster sidecover have the same glitter treatment?

Sounds like they are slowly working toward sidecovers that match the paint. Another few years and they'll be the same colour as the tank. At least mine came with matching side covers.

Mulberry has not been listed anywhere I can find. Touch up is available at bike bandit.

If you get the touch up paint, take it to an auto paint store, and have them color match it. couldnt be to hard.then ifin you want you could buy some pearl coat or mtl flake

I have a mulberry BA and have tried ...Triumph used a 4 step paint process including a "special tinted clear" coat so it's likely you will never find an exact match and the scratch cover is as close at a 1 step process can be but even then not exact...
My side covers (both sides) chain guard, licence plate bracket, have all been painted "to match" and the color is close or exact...but only when viewed from a certain angle with a certain light condition...the flip/flop effect of the stock paint is almost impossible to mimic with out knowing specifics from Triumph and they 'aint' talking
