Ordered my pipes sunday night and they were here friday in New Hampshire WOW!! I just finished taking off the stock pipes. Had to heat up the allen heads to get the mounts off waiting for the paint to dry so I can mount them on the Thunder Pipes.Thunder Pipes says you don't need to rejet.Has any one else put these on and not had to rejet.I looked at Pats site and thought I should put 130 mains in.To bad its 6 above zero out.You think the wife would be pissed if I light it off? Sure would like to hear her sound now.

when i first put mine on i left it alone. just tuned out the mixture screws, but then i pulled the snorkle and put in 130's and the bike ran better. i suggest pulling the snorkels and jetting to get most benifet from the new pipes, or better yet get rid of the airbox and rejet

ever bike seems to be a bit different, start at 3 turns and go from there, after riding and adjusting a bit it will be pretty close in no time. i think my final was about 4 turns but thats without my airbox also

Another thing I had to do was balance my carbs. Man I bet you cant wait to load up those pipes on the road. They sound and feel awesome

Stock at first, but after re-jetting with 132.5 WOW what a rush. Removed the AI, and between 3-4 turns out, still some popping but I'll not go back to stock.

Ive been thinking of uping my pilots to 45s to help eliminate the remaining popping. It dosent bother me all that much ,Id just like to have it perfect. Any thoughts?...........

If you go with a less restrictive exhaust, you will have some decel popping. If you adjust it out completely, you'll be adjusting some performance out as well. I had very loud popping after installing my exhausts, upping the mains to 130 and adjusting carbs. Then put in 45 pilots (recommended by SS) and readjusted. I have some decel popping now, runs better than ever - except for my intermitten electrical problem.
