Just purchased the Clutch Lifter Arm Cover from Triumph. Anyone know where to get the 'rubber dust cover' for the clutch cable. I noticed some in several pictures on this site.
Thanks

I purchaced mine from Brent and it came with the cover, you may want to check with him at newspeedmaster.com. and see if it is available alone.

I remember someone buying a rubber boot that fits from their local HD shop. Unfortunately, search as I may, I can't find the old post. It may have been on the old site. I believe you may get lucky there. If/when you find a HD crossover, please post the part number for tech vault inclusion.
Thanks,
Tom

The number escapes me as well, but heres where to get it. Go to your nearby Harley Boutique and look at the Sportster. The part you want is the boot that covers the clutch cable midway down the uptight tube on the left side. Any good Harley parts dept is loaded with them - as they are with most parts (they need parts quite often I hear). Anyway, tell the parts guy what you want and he'll be able to fische it up on his screen.

Be sure to put some blue Locktite on the screw. Some folks have lost those covers when the screw loosens.

Its pretty sad that Triumph is so weak to not finish that detail better.

It looks unfinshed, out in the open like that. But,I guess that's why they sale accessories to make more money. Triumph can't make us all happy, either you put stuff on or take stuff off,to get the look you want.

One step ahead of you, not the TBA vibrates as much as my '68, but did add some blue to the set screws. Thanks Kevin

Didn't realize your were a MD guy. I live up in Hagerstown. I start working on my '66 two Saturdays from now. Hoping to have it together by the Butlers Orchard show in May.

I'll be there, not sure what to enter! Put my '74 Daytona in last year, pulled a ribbon! Plenty of nice bikes there. Always a good time at the Orchard. I'm down near Annapolis. Kevin

Be good to have another BonnevilleAmerica.com member there. I'm working on re-doing a '66 Bonneville chopper acquired this summer

And it's good guys like Brent are around to offer even better products than Triumph. I went with his black union jack cover, and also the black clutch cable bracket.

Post some pics when you're done. I'm building a '69 TR6 right now, hopefully I can get it done before the weather breaks because once it gets warm I usually stop working on that bike and go out riding the BA.

Do you plan on doing a complete tear down and rebuild or just go through and clean/tidy up/replace broken parts just to get it road worthy?
