I am considering putting a BA front seat on my Speedmaster,will it bolt right up or will I have to make a few modifications. Only reason I ask is that I saw in the accessory catalog a solo seat kit (required for speedmaster)and wanted to check with ya'll before I went looking for a seat. Thanks, Craig

I'm sure this was mentioned recently on another thread.
I think the general concensus was that the mounting is different .. or something.
Do a search and you should find it.

Craig, pretty sure all you will need is the mounting bracket and maybe a bolt. Brent makes a nice replacement bolt with a cute little union jack on it, and I know someone was actually making brackets. I'm sure if you post a "wanted add" in the classifieds someone will get you hooked up soon. Once my corbin gets here I might be able to help you out but that's a few weeks off. Start your hunt for a seat anytime, you'll probably end up with a bracket on it already then get the bolt.

I have an America rider seat with a Corbin bracket on it. It should mount up on a SM but you won't be able to attach a pillion pad to it. You will still need the bolt, however.

I have the America seat on my SM and if you have the bracket it's easy. Make sure you find one with a bracket as Triumph does not sell the bracket alone. There was a member in here that made them out of stainless for the solo and pillion. I think I still have his e maill addy if anyone needs it. Definately go for the bolt from Brent.
