Hello, first off, great forum, anyway just got my TBA back rom local Triumph dealer... TBA has Short Triumph Silencers, running Main Jet (130) and Pilot (45) with Needle (N82Y) all installed and tuned by dealer. Everything else is stock.

Now my problem is
Popping when slowing down in any gear - No top end power, only getting 140 kmh and no more - 1st gear ok to 60kmh - 2nd gear ok to 90kmh - 3rd gear ok to 125kmh then 4th only gets to 140kmh and no increase in 5th gear.

On giving it full throttle in 5th gear it starts to run like s__t. Dealer not sure what to do.. has been in the shop now for 3 days and still no better.
Plz HELP if you can

welcome to the forum, you can ask all your questions in one post, dont need 3 of them. i personally think the bike is on the rich side, most guys with better flowing pipes still have the stock 42 pilots. go to http://www.dinqua.com/ and download the jetting calc. that will give you an idea of which jets may work a bit better. and if money is not an issue bring it to a dyno and tune it on there

What is the N82Y needle? Thruxton?

Sounds to me like you are WAY too rich. You might want to drop back to the stock needle, 42 pilots and re-start from there. Remember the mantra: one mod at a time!

you need to do this test!!!! pull you plugs and see what color they are if there white your lean.... if the light gray or brown thats what your looking for...it black or dark brown you rich...

the first thing you need to do go back and start with your main jet once you get that right you can move on to the other stuff..find a place where you can run you bike WOT with room to pull over and have the tool's to pull your plug's once there run your bike down the road get it up To speed in 5 and hold it at WOT for a few sec's then all in one time hit your kill switch and pull in your cluch at the same time pull over and pull you plug's take a look at your plug's if there white go up in main jet size to you get the color you want..if the black or very dark brown go down a jet size.. repete test till you the color plug that you need

Hi all, Sorry i have not replied sooner, i have been away... BUT got bike back finally it's still not 100% but it's better.. Now running 45 Pilot and 125 Main, Speedmaster Needle.. Will check everything else out as I get the time.. Thankyou all for the helpful input..
