I priced batteries at Advance, Auto Zone and WallyMart. Walmart had their AGM battery EverStart MAXX ES12BS for $53.14 which was the cheapest AGM of the three. They claim on the box to have the bigger, better, faster, etc., but you can print anything on a package. I bought one whether I needed it or not. Has anyone used this battery? I was unable to find the amp rating on the package and nothing on Wally's website, but I think the applications catalog had one listed, I just can't remember what it was. The date code on my old battery (Yuasa) was 1D04E (maybe April or May 04??) and I hadn't had any battery issues. I'd rather keep it that way. Anyhow, I put the old battery in my six year old's 11 year old mini Jeep and it scoots for now. The 12+ volts will surely lead to the demise of the twin 6 volt motors, but the Jeep has been through a hard life and it doesn't owe us a penny. I used the 11 year old jel batteries as a core for the new one.
