I would call that "Big and Ugly" Stephen!!!!!!
Looks like it would work though....if you are into that sort of thing.
I've been kinda looking for an aftermarket fairing for the America that would extend out past the grips.....nothing yet.

There have been side shots of that thing on TriumphRat.net for quite some time now, but that's the first I've seen it straight on. HOLY CRAP that's a wide fairing. YIKES. No lane splitting with that bad boy.

I like the Corbin batwing fairing and hard bags better. Sometimes less is more.

I agree that the Corbin fairing and hard bags look better on the bike. I would bet that Triumph's tourer will probably be more like the Corbin decked out model.

I can see the RIII going through the same evolution that the Goldwing did. The GW started out as a naked bike. Then there was Vetter, and then Honda came out with their own.
One thing about ED's faring, you would be protected. Nothing is getting around that sucker.

I like the Italian fairing. THat, some hard bags and rear set pegs might give the new concours a run.

I kind of like that Italian version. It's going to be interesting what the Triumph version will look like when it comes out next year. It definitley is a direction that Triumph needs to go. THe full touring cruiser bike is a niche that Triumph needs to compete in. They have the bike, but not the set-up. I know several people that have bought other big touring bikes (HD Ultra-Glide, Yamaha Ventre, etc) but really liked the Rockett II, but wanted a bike with all the bells and whistles of a Goldwing.

Hard to see clearly in the video but I kinda like it as well. Got that Euro look. Definitely a step in the right direction. Just think in a few years Grandpa and Grandmas running around everywhere on these beasts. We have the Honda Hoot, Wing Ding. Let's see what shall we call these gatherings, The Rockers

If you want a bike to tour on isn't that that point? Now I haven't seen the Corbin version so I can't compare the two, but I kinda like it. Add some bags and a trunk and I think that it'll make a great tourer. The reporter's right though if Triumph's set-up is half as good it'll be a winner.
