Hi gang,
If you want to read a somewhat bizarre story, go to the blog that I have been writing, and read the entry from today, Dec 15. I stayed up late last night writing this, mostly as therapy for myself when I found out what was going on. Some of you might say that I am paranoid or jumping to conclusions, but I'm sure it will make you think and wonder.
I was personally a little shocked, but not really surprised.

I post this here because I consider all of you my friends, and I really needed to tell someone. Leave comments on the blog if you like.
Here's the link.

A Bizarre Tale

Best regards to you all
Cody

I often get picked for the shakedown at airports, and I also had my credit card number compromised recently.

I'll chalk it up to having tanker & haz mat endorsements on my driver's license.

The irony is, as a tanker fleet operator transporting gasoline & petroleum, I'm also on the semi 'secret' list to receive federally published incident reports of suspicious activities, which for some odd reason, I'm not allowed to share. One would think these incidents should be shared, but let's just call that logic your tax dollars at work...

Speaking of your tax dollars at work -- & even more OT -- I received a letter in the mail from a private citizen asking for dimensions and compartment capacities of all my fuel tankers, which I thought a bit suspicious, and so I tried to push the letter up the line to various security agencies. Not a single one of them ever returned my calls.

Same as it ever was...

I don't know John, but after readin' that journal o' yours, I think you should actually be "countin' your lucky stars"!

I mean, look at the BRIGHT SIDE. At least you haven't as of yet found your a$$ locked inside a cozy little cell in GITMO after some Patriot Act hacker possibly viewed your personal assets on that there gob'ment computer in D.C.!!!

Thing COULD be worse, ya know!

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Yeah, Dwight, things could always be worse, and that thought is what keeps things in perspective. I also try to remember that things aren't usually as bad as the first seem to be. The trick is to laugh at the absurdity while you are dodging the injustices.

On a positive note, the temps were about 55 degrees today and I had the bike out for a couple hours. It's fun to go Christmas shopping in a motorcycle, but it's hard to buy furniture to go.

Yep, John...You sound like a man who's found "The Happy Place" we all seek, when you moved to ABQ. Good to hear.

And you're right about Xmas shoppin' on a bike. Saves a lot o' time and aggravation out there when you don't have to look for those rare parking spots that all the other poor shmoes are fightin'...ahem....MERRILY searching through the lot for in their cages, during this "festive season".

Merry Christmas,
Dwight
