I got the Sequoia XL leather saddlebags (12x16x7)and the 99X leather Sissybar bag from LeatherneckJim's. Quality is great. Saddlebags have internal heavy duty plastic reinforement in backs and tops, and the back is made of conveyor belt rubber-very very strong. I mounted the bags on Easy Brackets. The Sequoia XXL (14x16x7) would have easily fit also. Excellent setup for anybody looking for something like this. The Sequoia XL is made by Leatherworks as the model 112+2. The people (Jane) at Leatherneck Jim's are very helpful and service seems excellent. They also have a discount on Easy Brackets if you buy bags. And no, I am not affiliated with them at all, just a satisfied customer. More pics in my gallery.

Nice! Is that a quick release I see behind the buckles?

Yes, there are quick release buckles behind the long straps. The long straps allow you to strap a leather jacket, etc. to the top of the bags. There are also 4 small rings, one on the top of each corner of the bag for bungie cords. --Tom

Nice bags. One day. This is like the chain/belt situation. Four chain kits are to one QPD as three saddlemans are to one leatherneck.

Looks great!
I bought two sets of bags from him... great service... One of the bags is leather ( well used on my Harley) The other the fake leather for my SM, but still nice looking... both of the ones I have are made by Auburn leather... they're good people too.

Larryshep,
That is not a rivet. It is a locking feature. It cost an extra $15 as a custom feature. The outer cover/lid has a chrome ring/grommet. The main bag has the chrome post which protrudes through the grommet when the cover/lid is down/closed. That post has a small vertical hole through it to insert a small padlock. Hope this is somewhat clear.
FYI. They have bags which are made of a synthetic leather for about one to two hundred dollars less. These also have the same reinforcements and backing and are made by the same people. I have not personally seen the synthetic leather material though. --Tom

These look great Tom,
I already have the EZ brackets and just havn't quite decided which bags to order yet. I like how the Leatherworks model 120 looks but they tell me they won't fit on the brackets so I keep coming back to the 112's.
I like where you mounted them. Would the same bags but with the optional pockets on the back still fit without changing out the rear turn signals?

the 112's w/pocket fit behind the stock rear signals; though it is a bit tight. tight looking, actually. it's more of an aesthetic thing than anything else.

Onetbone,
I tried the LW120s from LeatherneckJims called the "Sedona", because I wanted a rectangular bag rather than a slanted saddlebag. The front bottom edge of the Sedona/120 touches the bottom of the shocks. I tried them with the Easy Brackets and had to send them back.
The Sequoia XXL (14highX16longX7thick)from LeatherneckJims (112X from Leatherworks) will easily fit on the America/Speedmaster with Easy Brackets also, but I did not know that at the time I bought mine.
As far as the pockets, when you move the saddlebags forward, you can contact the passenger's leg/calf, so you would like to move the pockets lower, rather than moving the bag forward much. With the shorter length (12high"x14long"x7thick")saddlebags, pockets should not present a problem and somebody already has them on our bike models.
For The Sequoia XXL (14highX16longX7thick)from LeatherneckJims (112X from Leatherworks, with the two extra inches lower on the bottom, the rear pockets MIGHT clear the taillights-but I don't know for sure. If anyone knows the pocket height, I could measure from the bottom of my bags, adding 2 inches, to determine the clearance.

I had a small fit problem with the 112 bags with the pocket using the single seat set up with a seat rail and easy brackets. I just cut the rear turn signal stems down to 1 1/4" in length and the lights then clear the pockets by about 1 1/2".

I have a photo of the shortened turn signal stems with the bags mounted in my photo album.

Larryshep,
Your bike and the bags look great. Good idea about the turnsignals. They look good also.

Did you have to rethread the turnsignal stalk after cutting it shorter? Would a rectangular bag, such as the LJ Sedona or LW 120 extend past the turnsignals (outboard of them with no interference)?
