Got some more riders coming in from the Stuart/Palm City, Florida area. They will be riding HDs. They are afraid the British Iron may make it an unwelcome atmosphere. Can you believe HD bikers afraid of a few Brithish Iron Riders. Anyway explained we are just motorcycle riders and appreciate and welcome those who like to ride. So we can add about three to four locals to the ride on Saturday so should be around 20 motorcycles for the ride.

This will be directions to the Rally site.
This is the plan so far:
Ready to receive riders as early as 6:00 pm on Thursday. Plan on setting up Thursday and early Friday am. Bonfire, burgers and beer Thursday night. Friday early am set up. Friday afternoon local ride. Friday evening Rally to start at Camp Lauderdale. Saturday morning leave property at 9:00 am.Muster in downtown Okeechobee at 9:30 at Local Park (Naval Guns and torpedoe corner of 441 and 710) for those not staying at Camp Lauderale. Depart at 10:00 am for lap around the lake. Lunch at Rollen Martins around noon. Pictures at Port Mayacha around 2:00 pm. S&J Fish camp for refreshment around 3:00. Depart for Camp Lauderdale around 4:30 for Saturday night festivities. Depart Sunday am around noon for Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival. Everyone to depart from there on their own. More specifics to follow , will be posted this weekend.
Any ideas from the group?

For fun at the property this is what I have. All have not been started in sometime. 100CC Honda dirt bike, 90cc Honda ATV, and 90cc Go Cart all ready with a 1/4 mile dirt track with one mini jump. Bring your mechanic skills, get then runnining and will be a hoot.

Getting my Ipod set up for music. What music do you like? I got a lot of blues, like early WWII blues and modern blues ie Stevie Ray, Eric Clapton. John Mayall, British blues. Will Have Ipod with Boom Box set up at Bonfire/keg site. Music you like, let me know.

I got my time off work and will be heading out early thursday morning. only 1069 miles according to map quest. an easy day ride! Looking forward to meeting everyone.
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese!

Charlie, Should be a good ride down. Glad your a Flight Paramedic as Yota is wanting to wrestle an aligator. Trying to find a gator wrestling tourist trap on our ride so we can all watch Yota fulfill his wish, of course I am more interested in a belly laugh. Like they say, it is funny till somebody gets hurt then it is hilarious.

Thanks for the low tire alert today! Got air and a good ride in today out to J&S fish Camp. Kinda quiet there! Wish I was going to be in town for the "hootenanny" but will be in Lake tahoe skiing as I said! I'll follow all the lies on this thread to see how it went!! Next time!

Ryan, just sent you a PM. Try Budget Inn 863-763-3185 they have two rooms available and the Economy Inn 863-763-1148 hast at least three rooms available. Budget Inn is better but Economy Inn is older but clean (rate is $69.00 per night single). All of this info current as of 7:30 Sunday night 7 Jan.

Just drove our route today around Lake Okeechobee. It will be right at 130 miles. Have three maybe four stops planned. Two stops at Fish Camp/Tiki Bar and two at scenic look out just for a stretch and one final stop for gas at 130 mile mark. We will need to fill up for the next days ride. Reservations at Roland Martin Tiki Bar in Clewiston on South end of lake for lunch. Tracked out route, mile markers and time between points today. Will have this info with a map for each rider on Saturday morning.Any one having difficulty with directions? Is MapQuest enough or do you need or would you like more detailed instructions? Just let me know.

Hello Mark, I've been offline a while busy with holidays and school. Getting back to normal!~!! I just live in S. Florida, not too far (maybe 2 hours?)...is there a possiblity to hook up with you all Saturday for day trip around Lake? Hi Andrea,
That is a Big YES. We will depart from Downtown Okeechobee at 10:00 am Saturday Morning. Then a Trip around the West of side of the Lake headed South. We will be eating lunch in Clewiston around Noon. You could break away and head back to Miami at that point or continue on as we make our way back north. I think Clewiston is around 80 miles North of Miami. My guess is you would be on the road out of Miami around 7:00 am and if you left the group in Clewiston you would be home by 3:00 or 4:00.You are welcome to the Saturday night Festivities and the Sunday ride to the Frog Leg Festival in Fellsmere.

Got it and sent you a PM right back! I reserve the right to passout next to the Yutes, however, I wanted to secure lodging for my visitors. One beauty of an America, one BMW, one Duc, and one Harley will be roaring in from Daytona on Friday evening. How late will the festivities go Friday evening? We will probably arrive in the area around 8pm. Do we stop by or just join for the ride Saturday morning?
