I have the T-bike Pipes, and am fairly impressed with them and have the self made Freak, and was wanting to take the next step, and maybe throw the cams in. I was wondering if anyone had them, and is head work a pre-requisite, or can the cams just drop in, and improve HP??

Don't know about the T-bike cams, but here's a review of the Megacycle cams

You'll get more bang for your bucks with a big bore kit and some better carbs.
Or, just get some stock 790cc motor cams and put them in, this will boost your performance.

Thanx guys. 1. Megacycle Cams....outta the question, as you have to give them yours, and get them ground, and returned. Did you see my address??
2. Big bore kit....mmmmm as far as I have seen on this forum and others, is that you can only get'em for the 790. Please correct me, if I'm wrong.
3. Far as I can tell, no-one has shelled out the $$ and given the T-Bike cams a shot. Cams are a much easier install, providing you get the gains. 790 cams?? Here in Aus, they are probably just as expensive as the T-bikes. Heeeelllllppppp........

Anyone can big bore, just "less" of an increase for an 865 motor. Either way you end up with 904cc and forged pistons, and I think an increased comp ratio?

I have an America (790 cams) and have had a lot of discussions with Graeme from Thunderbike about his cams. The question I asked him was for cams for my big bore, that were an improvement over my 790 cams. The conclusion I came to was that he couldn't currently offer me anything to improve on what I already had. I thought maybe he has made some 790 cams and is selling them as an improvement over 865 cams(?).

He told me they were developing new cams with different duration and lift and that I would be the first to know when they were complete.......he never got back to me.

they won't publish their cam specs, so a few people that are familiar with the 790 cams are calling BS on Thunderbike, claiming that they are produciing 790 cams claiming that they are a proprietary design and marking up the hell outta them, Thunderbike's response is "we will not release specs" which at first I guess didn't suprise me, but I don't know of a single person that's bought them, and I'm on 3 or 4 forums for these bikes. I know of a few people that told Thunderbike they wouldn't buy them without specs.

Seems to me they are losing sales because they won't release the specs, only BS dyno runs that don't mention the extensive headwork that was done to the bikes (Graeme told me this in an email), but they never changed the website to say that the bikes on the dyno had $1000 plus of headwork done...dunno what they could possibly do to the heads worth a thousand dollars...but they don't have any of my money.

Yes, it's a shame they haven't tested and marketed a decent cam grind because with all the talk about it (about 12 month's worth) they would get a few sales for sure.

For me, I'm pretty happy with all the other mods i've done to my bike so I'm slowly loosing interest in spending those extra dollars on cams....unless someone produced a cam with considerable improvement!

Bluespoke - You had me going for a second there. I was about to reach for the credit card and order a set of those cams. Then I realized you were talking about the K&N Filters. Oh well.
