...when ya got USC in your "backyard"!
ND-24 Trojans-44(the home team's score should always go second, ya know)
(And no! I'm neither irish NOR catholic if you couldn't tell...I'm just a "good ol' boy" from "southern" California, where before this game here today, I put about 40 miles on the BA, IN 72 DEGREE WEATHER I might add....YEP! Life is good here, except for "the crowds", of course....but I'm allowed to LANE-SPLIT around them HERE, so that AIN'T so bad I guess)
Cheers, Dwight (now....BRING ON THEM BUCKEYES!!!)

As good as USC is, they won't get near the Bucs. Those Ohio State beefo's will eat SC's lunch!

SC does not even begin to have the kind of class program that one sees from Ohio State. USC produced OJ Simpson. Need we say more?

Never mind the one loss, the way USC is playing, they should be #1 not #3.

And.....how many women has Maurice murdered in cold blood?
No comparison there. SC has always been ghetto rat recruitment central. heck all they have to do is take a leisurely walk over to South Central and find the fastest runners (LAPD can tell them) LOL

Let me just say that I am not a real fan of USC (I have no allegiance to any college team), but I have to step in here and say that the O.J. comments (the way that they are being used) are absolutely totally and completely uncalled for. USC has produced a ton of great NFL players, including O.J. (many many years ago before he flipped out). USC has a very high quality football program. They always have and always will. This is supposed to be a thread about football, specifically college football and college football teams today, let’s keep it that way.

Soren, point well taken and I agree 100 %. I only jumped in on this thread with the Maurice Clarett comment to prove a point. All this schools have thugs. None of them are above that situation and for anyone to suggest OSU or any other school is above it all ain't paying attention!

Ok, for the uninitiated who have never ridden in Southern California, explain what exactly lane splitting is and how it applies in actual traffic conditions. Are you saying you are allowed to drive between cars that are stopped in traffic? Does that inspire road rage reactions from cagers realizing their absolute impotence in the face of non-moving traffic? Just curious...

??? You must of missed the Ohio State Michigan game. I have no dog in this fight. I went to Iowa State where the coach was just fired.

Even though I have no allegiance to any college, I still have a west coast bias (but, I did miss that game). Among non-ranked (or low ranked teams) I can tell you that Oregon St. upset Oregon Friday and BYU beat Utah yesterday (both games almost cause yearly bitter civil wars in their states). Soren

Is it true the University of Miami has an agreement with the Florida Department of Corrections to house their football players at the South Florida Reception Center in Doral so their transition to life after college is easier?

Randy, Yes! "Lane-Splitting" is a method of moving between stationary car at intersections or between slow moving(usually under 20MPH) cars on he freeways here in California.(kind'a like what Reggie Bush used to do between those 300lbs Tackles on the USC offensive line)
And NO! Almost without exception, california drivers exhibit no "road rage" towards us motorcyclists here when we lane-split. I fact, I'd say during those times that I ride on the Interstate 405(aka, the San Diego Parking Lot...er...I mean FREEWAY), I'd say every 4th of 5th person who sees me comin' through between the cars in their rear-view mirrors, actually moves their big a$$ SUV over some, and gives me more room.(contrary to what the news media and "Hollywood" shows you about L.A., we're mostly "very civilized" out here)
This had been an accepted practice for...well...forever out here, AT LEAST as long as I've been ridin' this here crazy things, which goes back to the mid-1960s.
Cheers, Dwight

Whaddaya mean, Phil? You're being much too "cryptic" there, amigo!
They should move over for us riders? They should get mad?
They should only follow and support the PAC-10 teams? (Always, it seemed, the most underrated of NCAA Conferences, ya know! Witness the shellacking these teams out here would usually administer to "that other" Conference's teams back in the day before all this B.C.S. business, when those Big-10 teams such as those Buckeyes, would dare set foot inside the ROSE BOWL!!!)

Don't get me started, being an Atlanta Falcons fan, THEY SUCK...Michael Vick flipped off fans Sunday at the Georgia Dome, truly displaying his character. He is an overpaid, too short, inconsistant quarterback that is WAY over rated. We have no receivers, and the only REAL player is Warrick Dunn. The coaches have some kind of twisted dream that Mike Vick is the ultimate quarterback.. Oh well, maybe next year, or whenever we get rid of Vick. GO BULLDOGS....

Well Mark,
In the annal of the NFL, the QBs who have succeeded and have become the benchmarks of the position, tend to be those who have SOME mobility to scramble, such as Montana and Elway to name a few, BUT their MAIN attribute besides being able to LEAD a team was that they COULD READ DEFENSES, and thus SELDOMLY threw into double coverage.(well, I have to admit that a YOUNG Mr.Elway DID often rely too much on his arm and often DID try to rifle the ball into TRIPLE-coverage now and then, to varying levels of success...mostly bad)
Now, I realize that poor Mikey Vick can run like the wind, and DOES have a pretty good arm(and doesn't have the caliber of players around him that Joe and John did), but I think your coach there in Atlanta should maybe consider making him a Running Back and leave the thinkin' and the reading of defenses(to say nothin' of the "bird-flippin'") to another.
And NO...I don't think the young Vince Young(a very similar styled QB) will make it into the NFL Hall Of Fame either.(and I'm NOT just saying that because he single-handedly beat the Trojans in this year's Championship Game, EITHER....stupid SC Defense..I kept yellin' at the TV before that final 4th down play-"HE'S GONNA RUN IT IN! HE'S GONNA RUN IT IN! FORGET THE PASS! HE'S GONNA RUN IT IN!!!")
It's a "different game" there on SUNDAYS!
Cheers,
Dwight
