10. Most are experienced riders able to wave AND still control their bikes.
9. The feeling of superiority doesn't get out of hand.(well...most o' the time, at least)
8. A breed apart is still part of the breed.
7. Most other brands ARE "kind'a cool" in their own way.
6. The sun never sets(and never really has) on the "Triumph Empire".
5. It's kind'a fun to say..."That poor slob who didn't wave back, doesn't have a clue, does he?!"(well....I TOLD ya that "feeling of superiority" wasn't always in check, didn't I?!)
4. "The King Of Cool" would have.
3. Gary Nixon, Gene Romero, Eddie Mulder, et al, probably still do.
2. Two words..."Gentleman's Express".
1. Anybody foolhardy enough to ride these d*mn things out there on those roads jammed with all those crazy a$$ cagers making all those absolutely pitifully boneheaded maneuvers around you daily, NO MATTER their choice in rides, DESERVES the acknowledgement.

Cheers,
Dwight

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I generally wave to kids on bicycles and senior citizens on park benches .

I get a kick out of the reaction to motorcycles from youngsters (boys and girls). It's either open-eyed wonderment or slack-jawed staring. I make a point of giving them a big wave and grin. They always excitely wave back. Makes my day....

And we now have some young people who will remember that bike and the rider who was nice to them, and possibly join us one day themselves, or at least keep an eye out for us and our brothers and sisters when they are driving. Sounds like a plan!

I'm going cruisin' some back roads tomorrow, and I hope all y'all are out having as good a time as I will, wavin' at everyone I see.
