The doctor says I shouldn't ride till the end of the month, but I needed to take my Triumph to the MVD (NM version of DMV) to get it registered. So, necessity being a mother, I rode into town and got a local license plate. Made a couple of stops on the way home to pick up a few bits of hardware I needed for a project and a bag of donuts. Must have gotten lost along the way because I somehow managed to run up about 30 miles. Felt good to ride again except going over the bumps I couldn't avoid.

Is Clovis' motto still, 'The Cattle Capital of the Southwest?'

It's about 5 miles from home into town and the MVD office is about 4 or 5 miles across town. Not sure how a trip up Prince street to Lowes took up another 10 or 12.

The chamber of commerce claims Clovis is the peanut capitol. Can't wait for spring so I can take the OL out to see how those things grow. Up until they blossom, they are like any other plant. Then they grow tendrils that reach down and stick in the ground to grow the nuts.

We,(AmyLee and I) just found out that our son Andrew, and his family, which is now stationed at RAF Lakenheath has recieved his new assignment to Cannon AFB,New Mexico. They are due back to the states in April. Anyway don't be surprized if we give you a call next spring to go see those peanuts. Take care. Bob & AmyLee
