Hi boys & Gals

Thought I better mention the Euro Rally to Sweden next year as before we know it we will be into 2007 & we need to think about looking a the ferry booking & what deals are about. The closer we get to the depart date, the more expensive the cabins & tickets become.

Maybe we could have a brits meet up to discuss who is definately going & plan out the route, checking passport expiry date etc (No i'm not having a pop at you Adey, honest )

Well over to you, take it easy & speak to you soon... & no Nobby my bike won't win any awards this time.. you, you nasty man!

Martyn If you have to ask why I ride, you wouldn't understand the answer!

I know my passport is out at the mo, but it'll get renewed in the new year. Have the new E111 thing or whatever it's called....

Just would have a problem paying for a ferry ticket at the mo. This buyinganewbike is an expensive business. And eating is not an option this month. Well one meal a day may be...

But really want to go. Have booked the time off at work and everything. I'm even working on a programme to get me over that 10 mile bridge. I'm starting on smaller ones and working my way up. By March I want to go over the old Severn Bridge. If I can get over that happily I can get over any bridge. (that one is apparently scarier than the new one - even though it's shorter...)

And I'll win the award for the newest one!

Martyn and I spoke about this the other day.
We sort of agreed it wouldn't be a bad idea to have a meet somewhere (probably The Ace) to agree some times / meets / set off dates etc.

SOON though because of booking early in the new year.

What does everyone think to that?
Most probably a Sunday - just looking for a the least wet one though ...

Just looking at the Burton upon Trent 5-day forcast from the BBC homepage, it looks to me like someone has just tried to use as many weather symbols as they could get away with in one forcast!!!!

I was gonna say how about meeting at the Ace this Sunday, but before I did I checked the BBC website... and it says this for the weekend comeing...

Quote:

For Friday and the weekend, the drier, brighter conditions in the southeast will begin to ebb away slowly, being replaced by more cloudy and unsettled conditions by the end of the weekend.

I'd still be up for this Sunday, but it may be by train...

If it's not really soon, it's gonna end up being the other side of Xmas. And then panicking to book ferries...

And also this bumps it back to the top of the list! Get thinking you guys...

Oh yeah and if it is gonna be a Sunday it's a day I can definately go. Just let me know by the time I go to work on the Tuesday and I can tell work I don't want to work... or else someone text me. (Sundays are not compulsary for me, but i have to tell them I don't want to work them by 12 midday on the Wednesday. Otherwise I'm guarenteed extra work. Which is nice at the mo, but I still need a life!)

We need to start thinking about it soon or we will end up paying a fortune for the ferry crossing as the cheaper cabins will have aleady been booked.

Can we do a poll for who is definately going?? & maybe we can a meet up in the new year.. what do you all think??

I will check out the ferry company next week & try to get costs etc but it would help if I know how many are up for it from the UK

Your wife is a maybe Martyn?? Was the operation a success then - or are you still awaiting the final outcome??

Oh yeah, what are the dates again?

To all interested (worldwide):

The Euro-Rally in Sweden next year will take place in Bankeryd Friday August 3rd to Sunday the 5th (or 6th if you want to stay another night). Put this in your calendars and/or tell your boss that you dont want to/can't work this weekend.
