Thunderbirds are really quite nice. They look like a proper motorcycle and have plenty of power. They seem just a bit topheavy as compared to an America or Speedmaster, but you get used to it easily enough.
The design was always good, but by '01, it had been refined to much better than good.
The 3 cylinder sound is something that some love and some never get used to. At least they don't have that sissy whining sound of the far east made 4's.

Thanks for that greybeard..
ran out of time today, but will go back tomorrow and take her for a spin.Have been looking for a Tbird sport but rare as , was going to settle for waiting for the 07 Speedmaster, but being that i suffer from ducks disease (short legs) i feel that the very forward pegs are almost a stretch.

thanks for the review

I have a 1998 T-Bird Sport and love it! Nothing runs as smooth or sounds as good as a triple, took me awhile to find one but keep looking you will run across what you are looking for. Found mine on Ebay with only 2400 miles on it,have over 5k now on it and ride it as much as I can..Goodluck

I took one for a spin in the summer of 05. NICE BIKE, it's the only bike I'd have taken instead of the TBA.

We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Seems like few of us have a TBS next to the BA or SM in the Garage. Roundy and I both have 98 TBS's and a Speedmaster. How many others? That triple wail is hypnotic to me. I may have only one woman, but I am a bigamist when it comes to loving motorcycles.

One of my favorite bikes is the T-Bird Sport. If They had not disconinued it, I may have gotten one instead of the Speedmaster.

I ran into a guy a couple of weekends ago with a yellow one(don't know the year). It was a stunning looking bike. I might have been tempted myself if it was still in production my I bought my BA.
