I felt bad about not heading up to Mt Greylock last Sun.
winds in the area were 25/35 mph with rain and snow showers. I just heard on the news this morning that a motorcyclist was kill in Deerfield Ma. on mon 10/30. thats about 40 miles east of Greylock. Seems the high winds blew over a tree crushing him as he rode by. I tryed to get more info but you have to subscribe to the local paper to read the story. While looking for info on this I also found were a biker was killed by a falling tree in NH this summer. These tree lined New England roads are nice, but alot of the "old" trees along the roads are dying. I'm in the Vol Fire Dept, and each time we get strong winds we get called out for trees of branches down. Guess we did the right thing by holding off on the Greylock run. Lets try for a spring date.
