Much to the surprise of Mom and Pop, Charlie (bad406) and Joanna paid a visit to the shop on Friday. They came bearing a very special gift. Charlie hand made the coolest bench I've ever seen with both the Triumph "T" and the "NewBonneville" logo on the top. Pop said it best; "Charlie reinforced my faith in humanity" and Mom had tears in her eyes when she told me about their visit. From all of the Smith family, I'd like to give you, Charlie and Joanna, our most sincere and heart felt THANK YOU!!!.    The Smith Family and NewBonneville

That is amazing!! Where did he find that log to make it? Looks fantastic!! I am currently waiting for some varnish to dry on a project I'll share with you guys soon. 4 hours my a$$! Must be the humidity... There is something speacial about something hand made and custom isn't there?

Thanks Brent. Just wanted to do something for them to say thanks for opening their home and shop to all of us.
Benny, I have a friend with a mill. Then I have a shop that I dry the wood in till it is ready to work with.
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese!

I realize Charlie left your parents that beautiful gift, but did they inventory everything in the shop after he left? You know how those Louisiana boys can be!  Charlie, that's really cool. You just made the rest of us look bad!

Wow Charlie, that turned out great. I knew it would, after we talked about it at the Rally. I had no idea you would get it done so fast! It turned out better than I was expecting, I can't wait to sit on it next year. Ha ha Brent! I knew before you did! I guess I CAN keep a secret...
