No where in the riddle does it say all people don't shave themselves just that the barber shaves the ones who don't. You would think he would shave himself and certainly wouldn't pay someone else to do it.

I was going to guess the female barber has a beard, but Benny beat me to it.
You stumble upon a backwoods cabin just past sunset in late October. Inside you find a kindled woodstove and a candle, but only have one match. Which one do you light first?
