Just a note to say I recently purchased some long canon pipes form Dale at Specialty Spares Exhaust Company.
At the same time I installed the AI kit, the provided jet kit and the unifilter all from Dale. The pipes look and sound great and no complaints from the neigbors from my daily 6:10am deparure for work.
I have since added stainless steel tips (two inches long and 1/4 inch wall thickness to look beefier than the already thick wall pipe Dale uses.
It took me awhile to get used to the loadness (in my ears) while riding compared to the stock pipes (no sound) and the drive by pipe sound is a very pleasing deep throaty sound. Dale was very helpfull during the installation and I'm sure anyone deciding on these pipes will be happy with the choice.
I noticed that the stock pipe mounts were starting to show signs of heat damage on the paint so I will be fabing some mounts out of Stainless Steel (SS) which will show nicely with the other pieces I have fabricated and installed so far that includes; Horn mount bracket, Handle grip end pices(1 inch long), clutch cable adjusting/mount bracket, Top engine motor mount, speedometer mount bracket (I lowered the speedometer about 3/8 inch and brought it back about 3/4 inch with teh modified bracket).
I purchased a single seat from Bruiser Custom Cycles and it is much more comfortable than the stock seat (a lot lower riding position which is about 3 inches lower than stock (I'm 6-1, 190 lbs)and I put on the RIVCO risers sold for the BA before they realized they didn't fit the Speedmaster. I had to fit a custom stop on the forks so the bars would not hit the tank. I'm currently waiting for Rich at RIVCO to finish the taller risers to fit the speedmaster which you SM guys will like a lot when available.
I'm looking forward to being able to buy one of the new 2007 polished front wheels to replace the 2005 painted one.
Still having fun after one year and 8800 miles.
I took a ride on a pocker run last weekend with the DC HA's and had a great time(good people good food and good music). I got a lot of compliment from HD riders. I was the only parallel twin there and the only triumph out of 150-200 bikes (location Bay Area California).
Hope you all are having as much fun as I am.

Gary

I love my SS long slash cuts. I also went on a poker run today with about a 100 bikes and was the only Triumph or parallel twin. My HD friends that I ride with have gotten used the fact that my bike draws attention everywhere we go.

Hello Bob,

I don't guess you have much down time with your bike in florida either. I don't commute in the rain if I can avoid it. I commute daily (42 miles round trip) with about 6 miles being on the twisties and only about 5 miles on the highway (not fun unless there is traffic then save time).
Mostly daily fun.

Gary
