Have seen a lot about using a Memphis Shades Alley Cat windshield on the America. Is it the Marauder 800 hardware that fits and which size headlight cut out...7" or 9". Thanks for the help.

Yes it is the Marauder 800 hardware...I have the 7" cut out on mine...but the 9" will allow you to lower it down on the forks more...but either will fit...with the 7" I have about 1/4" of space all around the headlight housing

Ditto. Mine is the 7 inch, and it fits perfectly, with no gap at all. I would not go with the 9 inch cutout.

I have the 7" cutout and thinks it looks perfect. I am using the Memphis Fats 21" windshield though but I think you would be happier with the 7" it fits nice and snug against the headlight with a small gap.

I need to replace my factory Triumph windscreen with a taller one. The factory shield is ok for running around town but I need another 3-4 inches taller for the highway. Will the Memphis Shades Alley Cat - Marauder 800 shield (lexan part only) fit my Triumph mounting hardware? I'd like to be able to leave the Triumph hardware and go back and forth between a highway screen and an in-towner.

John, Clearview Shields makes direct factory replacements for both the Roadster Screen and the Summer Screen (Triumph's only factory screens). They are available stock to up to 4" taller. I don't know of any other company that makes screens that exactly fit the Triumph hardware. The Clearview ones are actually higher quality than factory and resonably priced.

The only problem is that Triumph did not design the mounts to be easily or quickly removeable. Check out the Clearview website:

I had the original Trimph Roadster, then a National Cycle HD Touring windshield, then finally settled on the MS Alley Cat, which I like best by far. I don't think there is any way to mount the Alley Cat on the stock Triumph Roadster mounting brackets. They are not even remotely alike, not even in concept. The Alley Cats mount to 4 special clamps mounted to the upper forks.
