I stopped in at a TJ Maxx tonight, trying to get some early holiday shopping done. Low and behold, what do I see staring at me in the men's dept, front and center? SchottNYC motorcycle jackets ! Red ones, Blue ones, in M, L, XL sizes. $99 bucks each. Vented, with all the elbow, shoulder, and back protection, plus the insulated liner. Well, I got a nice red one. Not a bad deal.

Love that place. I bought my light duty windpants, (a pair of black Reebok nylon sweats with fleece liners) for very cheap there. They roll up small and fit in a saddle bag no problem. They're just the ticket for cool Spring, Summer & Fall nights, down to around 45 degrees F, eliminating the need to lug the heavy lined motorcycle riding pants with me.

there's one of those right near our new apartment, I'll have to check it out! I'm fine on jackets, but who knows what else you'll find.

My wife will be shocked when I say "Let's go to TJMAXX".

There's one right down the road and I have a $100 gift card (I was going to waste it on useless stuff like kids clothes and shoes, but not anymore), I'm heading down after lunch to scope it out.
Great call, thanks for the head's up!

I'd be interested in seeing how thick the leather is, I mean my Triumph hiway jacket weighs like 20 lbs...

Yeah we're moving to Port Jeff Station. Downsizing to save some mulah for nuptuals and hopefully REALLY moving off-island sooner than later. I still get a garage for the bike, but not full reign Bonus=5 minutes from ferry

I'd check again in the next week and again a week or so later. It seems the stores dont all have the stock come in at the same times ( and not always the same stuff ), but many seemt o be getting a ton of ski related jackets and wear, and the motorcycle jackets I found were in among that group.

Yea, I searched all through the snowboard and ski stuff too. I go there about once a month anyway to buy kids clothes. They just keep growing and growing. Like food, they keep asking for more, even though I already fed them yesterday.
