A friend of mine had just bought a new 2006 Suzuki Hyabusa, so we went for a ride to break the bike in. One of our stops was at the Bruce Rossmeyer's HD complex in Ormond Beach, FL. We parked our bikes right next to the Arlen Ness, Ducati, Triumph dealer. They had about a dozen Arlen Ness coppers, about 5 Ducati bikes and 8 Triumphs in the store and about 5 more just outside. One of the Triumphs was a Rocket III that the dealer had modified with a Turbo Charger. With the Turbo the bike was rated at 250 HP. The asking price was right around $20,000.
During bikeweek I test rode a stock Rocket III and thought it had more power than anyone really needed, I just cannot imagine what that bike would be like with the turbo on it.
On the way in the store we stopped and talked briefly with Tim Estes of Cycle Accessories West (Triumph dealer in Jacksonville). He was getting on a 2006 Sprint ST to start his ride back to Jacksonville. He said a group came down to the new dealer to check it out and lend their moral support.
If you have never been to the Bruce Rossmeyer's HD complex, and you find yourself in the Daytona/Ormond Beach area you have to go. Just try and do when it isn't Bikeweek or Biketoberfest.
