You know, I was thinking that the color Orange is quickly identified as Harley-Davidson brand...but i am happy that Triumph stuck with Goodwood Green as their company color.

Aren't you?

Ok, that may not be true but hey, you got to admit, the inperson, Goodwood Green / Silver accent is the best color combination yet. And no, I don't think my opinion is biased.

I guess you could argue that Blue is the Company color but hey, that is kinda blah blah, hey?

I think BLACK is the preferred color for Mr. Bloor. If the profits were in the RED, we wouldn't all be so happy.

Well since yesterday at least.

I know it is generally accepted that the Red ones are the most powerful of the TBAs, i must confess to having quite a liking to the Goodwood Green and would go as far as saying that I think it is one of my favorite color schemes AND, if i was in the market for a new TBA then i would probably go for a Green one, even if it meant going just a little bit slower than the red ones

Of course, both the Red and the Green ones would still have to wait up the road for the blue boys to catch up.

I wouldn't say that Green is the compnay color, but Triumph has always had the best looking green over any other bike or car manufacturer's green.

Oooh, now steady on. Not sure about the car colors. British Racing Green is very pleasing to the eye. Especially when its on a D Type Jaguar. And the latest Green that Jaguar is putting on their cars 'Racing Green' in my eyes is just plan beautiful.

But then i am very bias towards anything Jaguar....sorry.

If you are a true Texan or from West Florida or a southern rebel, the Blue ones are the best. Myself I hale from North Texas and Southern Oklahoma and this is why I call my bike Bonnie Blue. http://www.anyflag.com/history/bonnie.htm.

I can see how you guys might THINK it is the company color, but when I go on the Triumph website, it's funny, but I don't see a lick of green anywhere! In fact, besides SILVER, the ONLY COLOR I see is BLUE !!!!

I don't get all this discussion as to which is faster. You're only talking BA/Americas after all. Why do you think the other fasterest ones are named SPEEDmasters anyway?
Geez, this seems pretty obvious to me.

Cheers,

Lately, the only "blue period" I'm going through lately, is each time I find something new to spend my money on here in Connecticut! Just transferred my car insurance up here from SC, and my insurance company, oops, my FORMER insurance company, wanted to jump my insurance (for 2 cars, 1 new, one old) from $800 every 6 months to $2130 every 6 months. EXCUSE THE F#&K out of me, you want to rape my wife?!!! Well, I managed to whittle that down to a MUCH more reasonable $1700 every 6 months! Geez, practically giving it away. Although, in all fairness to the insurance companies, it's no surprise that rates are as high as they are, since I have never in my life seen so many bad, and rude drivers. Maybe it comes from being so close to NYC on this end of the state! And my medical insurance has also doubled, although the coverage is marginally better. I go to register my car this weekend, which will cost me $40 for the drivers license application, $66 or 77 (depending on my birthday) for the actual drivers license, and another $75 for registering the car (plus I believe there will be a $25 title transfer fee!) There is also property tax on the car (and bikes, trailers, snowmobiles, etc...) that the city of Danbury (or wherever I move to shortly) will kindly mail me, which I suspect will be in the neighborhood of $150 (I can't wait to register my wifes Beetle up here, I expect that will easily go over $400 for the property tax on it!) I WAS really starting to get into the CT frame of mind, getting my mind around the higher housing costs and property taxes, but this kind of stuff starts making me think I'll do my 2 years here, and then start looking out west again in Colorado! Don't get me wrong, this part of CT is very pretty, lots of beautiful roads to ride on, quaint old towns, beautiful countryside, etc..., but hell I've only been here a little under 4 weeks, and by my calculations, what started out to be a pretty tidy little windfall, and a decent increase in the quality of living has been sucked dry, and will now be nothing more than a very slight increase in take home pay once all the increased costs (groceries are about 20% higher here, as well as pretty much every cost relative to SC, and I suspect even relative to Colorado, albeit less so when compared to CO). Maybe I will change my mind, but no matter how much I like the area, I am really starting to reconsider whether or not I want to spend this much money to live her. I have yet to actually buy a house, and jump the hurdle of heating oil, and utilities, not to mention transferring my bikes registration and insurance up here. Gee, at this point, I can hardly wait(gulp!)

I'm probably talking out of my arse here (nothing new there then!) but isn't it possible to check these costs out before moving to another area?

Nope, not talking out of your arse Adey. Some things you can check out, like the cost of a house, property tax on a house, big stuff like that. But not so easy for grocery costs, car insurance, medical insurance (since I switched jobs). I went into this knowing it was ridiculously expensive up here, but felt that it was a sacrifice we had to make if we wanted to be closer to family, and ONCE we sell our house, things will be better, just a rough spot to get through till then. Just me griping out MY arse about a lot of money going out for stuff and not much benefit in return (like car insurance!!). Yes it's beautiful here, but traffic and drivers are obscene, roads in most places very rough (despite VERY high property taxes, income tax, and sales tax). Adey, I just like to think of this as my little slice of Merry Olde England!! Hey, it is called NEW England after all....

Only enough faster that they almost keep up with the JET BLACK ones.

Boy I hear that, I've been stressing about my job offer for two weeks now. Cost of living in the Flathead is much higher than here. I'm just not seeing where the nominal increase in pay will allow me to maintain what quality of life I have here. I'm having a real hard time making the numbers work. I will have to place a call to my supervisor first thing tomorrow morning to talk some things over. Too old to be living hand-to-mouth. Been awake since 1:30 am
