Hello everybody. I have been without a bike since 2001, and only learned of the America's existence a month ago. I rode a Black 2004 700 miles home this weekend I have many ??? and this looks like an active board. I look forward to getting to know you all. Bob

Welcome. Gotta fat wallet? If not got credit? Either way pay outright or go into debt.
You will find plenty of things initially that are MUST HAVE.

I am indeed from Kansas............ been there 52 years now. Very few Triumph motorcycles in my town (Topeka) I saw my first standard just last month, and when I picked up my America it was the first time I had ever seen one in person........ Kind of crazy I know but I am very happy with it. It may very well be the only one in town. I remember seeing the Triumphs all lined up at the dealer in the early 70's when I was buying parts for my Bultaco. I always wanted one. Problem solved.

Hey KANSASBOB, I know a "BayouBob", now a KansasBob and have a brother Bob, who goes by Bob. Welcome, what we don't know for sure, we make up for in opinion. Actually it's a good group that is seriously helpful. Nicest people I've never met, including the 8-9 I have met Now about the colour JH

Bob, boB. You just have to like a guy whose name is the same, backwards and forwards. The Kansas part kind of messes it up though: bobsasnak. Although it does have a nice ring to it... Welcome. Some of those here are very smart. Some are just smarta$$es. I'm not so smart, but I'm fun at parties...

I just met a fella at the 22nd annual Lake O' The Pines Rallye in east Texas from Topeka. He road his '68 Bonneville 762 miles just to hang out with us Texans! All he had to do to get home was follow the trail of parts. Name wasn't Bob though.
Not you fat Jesus!

Howdy Bob, Don't pay those multi-colored newbies any mind, most are just jealous they don't have the ORIGINAL black (and a couple red)100th anniversary "Triumph Bonneville America". Just alot of off coloured (see I even spell British)Americas bantering about. There ya go, Bob's your uncle!! ModelMaker
