Are the EBC sintered brake pads from Brent's site a direct
replacement for stock pads or only for the upgraded floating rotor.

I think replacements for both really....but i'm sure at least direct replacements. If u call...they're very good at customer questions. I've always been well taken care by them.

Direct replacements. You can get them at most MC shops as well.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat

If you go to a local shop, take the part numbers with you.
FA196HH for the front.
An older edition of the EBC catalog incorrectly listed the 214 for both the front and back.

Yea, I tried to tell that to the service & parts guys at House of Power in Palm Bay FL. They are over an hour away and I ended up making two trips because they were too lazy to come out from behind the counter to try and match them up. Whew, got that off my chest (and they wonder why I will never let them touch my bike again).

Anyways, I ended up with the organic pads and I do not believe they have the same bite as the OEM's. An EBC rep recommended the 'Double-H" pads. I wonder if they list both the organic and the HH as replacements for the Triumph America?

Front FA214/2HH (off the p/n label)
Rear FA196HH

I cannot report how they differ since I haven't installed the HH's yet.

Thanks everybody, I ordered a set for the front and back of HHs from Brent yesterday. That was minutes before I got the post that indicated that they might be available locally.
Foolishly, due to my inexperience, I ran the stock pads down to the bone... 10,000 miles. When I replace them, what should I use to clean caliper parts? Commercial brake cleaner spray?
