Get up to Ray's for about 10am.
Ride to Glassen Dock (no doubt .. ).
Have a brew, bacon and egg sarny and a fag.
Ride in the country.
Have another brew and another fag.
Ride in the country some more.
Have a fag.
Have another brew.
Ride again.
Have something to eat ... with a brew.
Have a fag.
More countryside.
Ride home and get back about 6 ish.
Lovely countryside.
Meet people you've never met before.
Wave at total strangers.
Great company.
Good laugh.
Anyone who doesn't go is mad.
DO IT!!

Hey Ray, looks like just me and thee then ..... It would appear that getting out riding in glorious countryside isn't to everyone's liking.

Either that or they don't like smelling the C*W SH1T as they drive by. You can make it earlier if you wish and we shall hit Langdale for lunch, I know a great little pub if I can remember how to get to it. Last time I was there was 1976

No just that she's slow..... when I brought her up here I managed to get 67 downhill...
But she's my first bike and I love her all the same.

I'm planning on getting to our meet with Ray at around 9am. I'll set off from my house around 7am.
I'll go along the A50 towards Uttoxeter / Stoke on Trent.
Where could you make that meet?
OR
We could meet at J24, M1??

Long day for you!! I'll wait. Unless you 'phone to say you're not coming, I'll be there. By the way, it's on the right hand side, next to a roundabout.

Ade / Grzegorz - I could be up for this. Only problem is that Jane's away, so I'd have to bring my daughter. She's thinking about it and will let me know soon I think I know the McD you're talking about, but any chance of a multimap link to be on the safe side? Will confirm in the next 1/2 hour.

OK, despite that we'll be at McD near Uttoxeter on A50 at 7.15 - 7.30. Sarah has added two conditions - that we stop regularly for toilet breaks and that we can come home if she gets fed up

Done and done.
I don't think you can go anywhere in this country any more without being too far from the motorway network!
Which way will you be coming onto the A50 Simon?
I'll be getting on at the Toyota island, the A38.
I'll try multimap to be on the safe side.
It might take a few minutes ......

OK. Off the A38 etc, I imagine you'll both be coming from the right hand side. ??? I know I will! The McD's is, I think, the second island. http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?c...0000&addr1=

I'll be joining the A50 at J24 of the M1, and going past the Toyota island at Burnaston.
Rather than make it more complicated I'll stick with meeting at the McD near Uttoxeter. I'm 99% sure I know the McD - it's a few miles before you reach Uttoxeter, and you have to go around the island to get into it, yes?
