This would be my first post here, and since I didn't see a "newbie" room, I figured I would introduce myself here.

I've been riding for most of my life, had many bikes (including one Triumph for a short time) and usually put about 30 miles in a day "seat time". Although my current scoot is a.... oh wait... (puts on flame suit!)

A Harley (ssshhh!...don't tell anyone) I would much rather meet people who enjoy riding than those into "brands". I've owned quite a few bikes of various makes over the years.

Hopefully, you will not mind me chatting here... Triumph's have always been one of my favorites, especially the older ones!

..be safe out there!

Thats true except you are not allowed to say anything bad about RED TBA's ....that is strictly tabboo, and for obvious reasons.

I see your from Close Enough. I think i've been there, isnt that around the corner from, Up The Road Aways?

Hi Jeff,

Welcome! If you hang around here too much you may end up trading in that ol' Harley of yours for some British Iron. :-).

Tell us about your bikes (especially the Triumph)!

Welcome Jeff,
I've owned them all over the last 40 years and my America is the best of the lot.
At 46,000 miles I've had nary a problem. We are buying a "2 up" touring bike next spring, and if Triumph will get off the can and make one, I can forget about buying a BMW or GoldWing.

Ride Safe, Dennis Triumph, it's how I live and what I ride.

I appreciate the welcome mat....

Got back into riding about 8 mo.s ago after about a 4 yr. "hiatus". I was originally looking for another V-max (ducks incoming "projectiles), but ended up with both a '99 HD (ain't no way I'm buying a new one!) and an '06 TBA.. thus why I'm here. The TBA was actually bought for a fellow forumite here, and he has since "paid it off" in full!
The TBA will run circles around my HD (as far as handling goes), and lord knows even I got more comments when riding it than I'll ever get on my Dyna... now, just so we understand each other, my HD FXDX is my ride. You can joke about it all you want, but it's not quite the "slug" you might think it is...
The list of bikes I've owned is pretty standard with one notable exception!

???? Yamaha 100
1981 Honda CB125S
1984 Yamaha Seca 650
1989 Yamaha V-max
1999 HD FXDX (ridden daily with no problems!)
2006 TBA..(no longer mine...:( ) now my best friend/riding bud's!

...oh, the one notable exception... 1976 Laverda 1000 3CL
If you actually know what it is, chime in!
For those of you who don't, it was the fastest production bike made in 1976. (and the rarest!)

just fwiw....

Sexeeeeee!
A Honda dealer told me (last year) that one of the old Laverda dealers in Athens still has 20 brand new specimens tucked away somewhere in a storeroom. We still haven't tracked him down, although we haven't really tried very hard.
It could be just a rumour though. Imagine...

Hey wait a minute...

As quoted by local news... (thats right, local, for now)
The Doof Cleanas Biker gang has begun it's infestation of the world. There moto is very complex. Only the originators know there true intention.
It has been noted.. They seem to leave a strange 43 wherever they go.
I personally believe they are out to put v-twins onto 43 different styles of bikes that contain engines that are not of the like. Or, they are trying to bring the websters dictionary up by 43 words. Whatever the case, be warned, they have begun there infestation of BonnevilleAmerica.

Next thing you know, they will be planning a ride from......

SATXRON
Heads up mister. I think there headed your way this weekend. 10-7

......see you at rehearsal. Welcome to the site.
