Does anyone know of feeler gauges which will go from from .10mm to .35mm in .01mm steps?

What digital calipers do you recommend for measuring shims?

thanks,
Hugh

If you have a harbor freight near you, i got a digital caliper for $14 thats just great. It's very accurate......i know because i measured some guitar strings and it was dead on to the 1/1000" range at least. Reads inches or mm. They have a few models. But you can't beat the price.

You can check out the MSC catolog on line, they have quite a variity of calipers, feeler guage sets and shim stock.

Depends on how much money you want to spend on digital calipers.

I'm a machinist in aerospace Use Mititoyo on the job.
Brown and sharps are better but expensive.

I think you'll find that almost all of the metric feeler gage sets you come across are going to be in .05 increments once you get up to .15mm and larger. But typically in the same sets from .04 to .10mm they're in .01 increments.

Unless you're willing to spend some bucks on a high-end caliper from Mitutoyo, Starrett, etc., just about any of the Chinese stuff will do. To save some money buy dial calipers, not the digital ones. I wouldn't trust the cheap digital calipers to have a long life.
