Bill Gately just got done putting a stroker kit in his 2001 Bonneville. Hasn't had it dynoed yet, but promises to put one up at the Delphi forum he posts on when he gets it done. Here's a list of the mods:
Changes made:
BP Front Suspension Kit includes;
A&A Racing Adjustable Triple Clamps
AK 20 Cartridges for the forks
All spacers and brackets for the conversion
Works Performance Pro Racer piggy back shocks
Ported head with 1mm over valves and dual springs
Jojje's billet barrels for the Wiseco 989 stroker kit
Carrillo rods
Dynamically balanced, stroked and micropolished crankshaft--balancers removed.
This started with the 904 kit in, and the Barnett clutch is starting to slip with the new extra power. I'm going to take a WAG and say he's close to around 90 hp and 72 ft lbs of torque.

ok why not use the 994 big bore from british customs less money then the stroker kit and less work. would you get the same amount of torque from the 994 as the stroker. or what is the best way to go to get the most torque and hp.

The big difference in the kits is that BC reams out the stock cylinder walls to make them bigger and recoats them. The Wiseco kit machines out the entire stock cylinder walls and presses in new steel sleeves, with more room to ream later if you need.

ok you maybe thinking of the BC 904 kit. the 994 BB is a billet cylinder.

You are right, I should have been more precise. It is the 904 kit I am referring to. Sorry for cornfusion.

I see what you are saying.... I would imagine the stroker would be a torquer where-as the 988 with new jugs would do a lot fo HP but less for torque.
