Been running stock pipes with 3 of the 4 baffles removed for some months now. Recently tried gutting another set from the header end, low end performance was so bad, I put my -3 set back on. Got another set with only 2 baffles removed, put them on last night. Peppier from a stop or throttle up from idle. Helped my low end enough I'm thinking of going up a tooth. Seems to me that as backpressure decreases, low end suffers while top end improves. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a secret to helping both ends? Or is it like cams and carbs; pick one end or the other, not both.

I'm getting great response from no baffels 132/45 TBS, mod airbox, no snorks.
I do have the reducer in the front of my pipes still. If you take that out you can kiss backpressure goodbye.

Here is the phantom exhaust reducer, removed from the front of the silencer, for your viewing pleasure:

Clearly, I have removed my reducers. Attempting to remove the reducer is a BAD IDEA if you haven't first removed all of the other baffles. I attempted to remove just the reducer. In the background are the remnants of the other reducer that didn't want to come out. Cutting torches are hell on chrome, by the way.

As for the low-end power issue, check your jets and fuel mixture...
